Village of Lake Zurich - 2025 Paulus Park Improvements
SCOPE of WORK
Scope of work: consists of all necessary for the following:
Base Bid:
1.) Site Work - Work will include site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control, site removals and clearing, earthwork, utilities (water, sanitary, storm, electric and fiber), concrete paving, curbs, footings and foundations, recirculating splash pad with LifeFloor tiles, amphitheater with stone veneer columns and wall, ADA ramp with cast-in-place concrete retaining wall and handrails, baggo courts, site furnishings, native plantings, turf grass seeding, and landscaping plantings.
2.) Architecture - Work will include demolition of existing guard building and construction of new building with family restroom. The building will contain the splash pad mechanicals and pumps, cost for these components will be included with Base Bid #1.
Schedule:
A) Award Notification: April 22, 2025
B) Begin Construction: May 19, 2025
C) Sequencing of Work: Beach will remain open to the public for the 2025 season, opening Memorial Day weekend (May 24, 2025) and closing Labor Day weekend (September 1, 2025). Public entry/exit to the beach will utilize an alternate gate location to the north. Beach retaining wall and ramp to begin construction following beach closure on September 2, 2025. Amphitheater to be completed by July 30, 2025.
D) Completion Deadline: November 21, 2025
